Award-Winning Producer and Field / Assistant Producer

Pruitt is skilled in finding and developing stories from a variety of sources, researching material and integrating client and story-based requirements.  In his career, he has had the opportunity to interview figures ranging from the powerful and popular (Sen. Barack Obama, Rep. Mel Watt, actress Vivica A. Fox) to men and women on the street.  This experience has taught him both how to get the best out of a subject when the interview has to be done cold, and how to prepare people to look and sound their best when the camera's on them.

His background in corporate sales and marketing is especially helpful when working to distill a client's message into the clearest and most effective video possible given available resources (and gives Pruitt the ability to gently steer the client away from poor choices).  Years of production experience helps to keep things focused and efficient while in the field.

It's recently been announced that Pruitt's production company, Shotgun Shakespeare, has won a 2007 Telly Award for the Springfield Challenger Baseball fundraising and promotional video created in 2006!  He co-produced, field produced and served as Director of Photography on the production.
